Your ingredients are not chopped up enough, there are still large pieces?
Cut larger pieces of food into smaller sizes before chopping and use the pulse mode for better results.

Can we exceed the maximum quantities?
No, this may damage the appliance and the result will not be optimal.

The ingredients don't mix properly?
Liquid ingredients should be added when the motor is running. Pour liquids through the food opening, never directly into the bowl. Check that the liquid is being mixed properly with the other ingredients. If this is not the case, stop adding the liquid but don't stop the motor. Wait until the ingredients have mixed before adding the remaining liquid.
Butter, if not melted, should be diced before being added. Make sure the butter is at room temperature before adding.

The blade rises in the work bowl?
The blade is not correctly placed. Make sure that it is pushed in as far as possible. The amount of dough exceeds the maximum recommended. Remove some of the dough and process in two batches. If the dough is too sticky, the blade could rise in the bowl. In this case, replace the blade, turn on the motor and immediately add 40g of flour through the food opening.

The dough doesn't form a ball?
The amount of dough exceeds the maximum recommended. Remove part of the dough and process in two batches. The dough is too dry. If it feels lumpy, add some water, 15ml at a time, while the motor is running, until the dough forms a ball that cleans the inside of the bowl.
The dough blade is designed to knead at least 400g of dough. For less than 400g of dough, you should use the knife blade.

Balls of dough are forming under the blade, distribution of the dough is uneven?
Stop the motor, remove the dough, divide into 3 and distribute the dough evenly in the bowl. Turn the appliance back on and knead until the dough is soft and malleable. Make sure it is neither to dry nor too wet.

The dough feels hard after kneading?
Divide the dough into 2 or 3 equal parts and distribute around the bowl. Knead until it is soft and malleable. If necessary, add water.

The liquid leaks onto the motor base?
Always turn the motor on before adding liquid ingredients.
Add liquids slowly allowing the other ingredients to absorb it.

The motor slows?
The amount of dough exceeds the maximum recommended amount.
Remove some of the dough and process in two batches. Do not knead the dough for too long after adding all the ingredients. 30 seconds should be enough for the richest doughs.

The motor stops?
The lid is not properly locked into position.
The appliance is not plugged in.
Something very hard may cause the motor to overheat and stop. This appliance has a safety thermostat that blocks the motor if it overheats. In this case, allow the appliance to cool for 15 minutes. Then divide the dough into two equal parts and start to knead again. Make sure the dough is not too hard. If it is, add a little water and start kneading again.

The dough doesn't rise?
Check the expiration date of the yeast.
Do not use hot water to prepare the dough, or overheat the dough by kneading too long. The ideal temperature for the dough is 26°C. Allow the dough to rise in a warm, draft-free place.
Whole wheat doughs rise more slowly than white flour doughs. Allow to rise for a sufficient length of time.

The bread is too heavy?
The next time you make dough, make sure that it is even, soft, malleable and slightly sticky before allowing to rise. Allow the dough to double in volume before punching down, then shape. Allow it to double in volume a second time after shaping.

My appliance doesn't work?
Check that the appliance is plugged in, push the switch into the on position

Liquid is leaking from the bottom?
Check the jar assembly, ensure that the locking collar is tightly screwed onto the motor base and that the seal is properly positioned.

The preparation is leaking through the lid?
Check that the total amount of liquids and solids does not exceed 1.5L.

The blade won't move?
Cut larger foods into pieces before chopping and use the pulse mode for best results.

The blade won't move despite reducing the amount in the jar?
Turn the appliance off and unplug it. The blade was probably not correctly assembled. Check the blender assembly.

The motor slows?
The amount of food exceeds the maximum recommended.
Remove some of the food and blend in two batches.

The ingredients are not chopped enough, there are still large pieces?
Careful not to overcharge the jar.

Food remains stuck to the side of the jar?
Use the reversible motor by pressing alternately on the chop button then the grind button. This will distribute the food better around the jar.

The liquid ingredients are not blending properly?
These must be added only once the appliance is running for better binding.

My mini-processor does not work?
Make sure the security system in the lid is securely locked to the back of the mini-processor.

FOOD PREPARATION – Yoghurt maker YM350E

What milk should I use to prepare yoghurt?
Any milk may be used to make yoghurt. Your yoghurt maker will work with any. So the choice will depend on your personal preferences.

  1. Pasteurised milk with any fat content (full, 2%, 1%). Pasteurise milk is used the most and gives the best results.
  2. Powdered milk. This gives firm yoghurt, richer in calcium and in protein.
  3. Long-life sterilised UHT milk. It makes a relatively firm yoghurt without skin.
  4. Farm milk. We recommend that you boil the milk to kill any harmful bacteria. Sheep's or goat's milk will result in a less firm yoghurt.
  5. Soya milk. Make sure you use UHT soya milk that contains fructose, honey or malt. At least one of these ingredients is absolutely necessary for fermentation.
NOTE: The fat and solids content of the milk has a direct influence on the flavour, the texture and the nutritional value of the final product. Further, the firmest yoghurts are those made with full cream milk. These are also tastier, fatter and provide more energy. Skim and semi-skimmed milks result in less firm yoghurts.

  • Yoghurt made with full cream milk will be creamier than that made with semi-skimmed. Note: If you use skimmed milk, it won't be successful.
  • UHT milk can be used cold.
  • fresh (farm) milk must be boiled long enough before using it. Be sure to let it cool (to about 43°C) before adding the cultures.
  • you can keep the yoghurt for 7 to 10 days in your refrigerator, but it is tastier if eaten within 4 days of making it.
  • people who are allergic or intolerant to cow's milk can use sheep's or soya milk. Sheep's milk is rich in proteins and easier to digest.

Why doesn't my yoghurt thicken?

  • The yoghurt culture is too weak or the milk was too warm when it was added.
  • The culture or the powdered milk had expired.
  • The yoghurt was not completely mixed with the milk.
  • The preparation time was not long enough.

Why is my yoghurt sour or why does water rise to the surface?
The preparation time was too long or the cooling time too short.

What can I do if my yoghurt is too soft?
Add a little powdered milk and increase the cooking time. TIP: the taste and texture of the yoghurt vary depending on the milk and the yoghurt culture used. For best results, do not use:

  1. milk that has expired
  2. yoghurt that has expired
  3. yoghurt with additives, fruit or other ingredients.
